RAMSKO
born 2001, Austria. Lives and works in Vienna.
Ramsko is an Austrian-Hungarian artist and art figure who works with a range of mediums and art
forms. They studied Graphics and Communication Design at Ortweinschule Graz, and are
currently studying in Daniel Richters class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
Their work often comes from a place of a deep longing for a utopia, expressed in the form of
exaggerated kitsch and cheeky carelessness. From gender roles to pop and internet culture, they
explore a range of topics with a unique sense of humor, combining flashy colors, glitter, and
trivialized imagery to create a visual language that is both joyful and thought-provoking. They aim
for an atmosphere of playfulness, and to challenge the viewers to think about the meaning of the
work beyond its immediate appearance, while still staying true to the core of Kitsch, which is
definitely a big part of Ramsko’s aesthetic.
