Es handelt sich um einen faszinierenden Screenshot seines Apple I-Mac's. Ein nackter, junger Mann penetriert der Überlieferung nach einen Tyranosaurus Rex, derweil ist links im Bild Melgaard mit seinem Partner als I-Phone Screenshot eingeblendet. Die Spannung zwischen dem sexuellen, aggressiv wirkenden Akt und der trauten Zweisamkeit trägt den irritierenden Titel "Housewife".

SELECTED PROJECTS

 

La Biennale Di Venezia, 54th International Art Exhibition, Venice; Beyond Death: Viral Discontents And Contemporary Notions About Aids. Commissioned by the Office for Contemporary Art Norway, Oslo, Bjarne Melgaard will serve as Guest Professor for the Graduate Programme of Visual Arts at the Faculty of Design and Arts, Università Iuav di Venezia. Melgaard conducts a Masters program structured around a series of lectures and workshops by the artist taking place from mid-February to mid-May 2011, and concludes with a public project and a publication reflecting the materials researched during the course. Beyond Death looks at the history and present of the AIDS crisis, and its reflection within contemporary art and discourse.
